FAQs

You need an iPad or Android tablet, the Teamsly Time Clock app from the App Store or Google Play, and a Wi-Fi or data connection. The Account Owner, an Admin, or anyone with permission to manage time clocks and kiosks signs in once to connect the tablet to a location.

Employees enter their 4-digit Login PIN, or sign in with their email and password. They select today's shift, tap Clock in, and can take breaks, add job codes and notes, and clock out from the same screen.

Every employee gets a 4-digit PIN automatically when they're added to Teamsly. They can find it in the Teamsly mobile app under More → Personal information, or a manager can set one for them.

Yes. When a Manager, Admin, or Account Owner signs in, they can see who's on the clock, clock team members in or out on their behalf, clock themselves in, and manage the kiosk.

Yes. You can set up as many kiosks as you need, like one at the front entrance and one in the back. Give each tablet its own kiosk name. Each kiosk belongs to one location, and only employees assigned to that location can use it.

Yes. The kiosk uses the same rules you've already set up in Teamsly, including unscheduled shift clock-ins, early clock-in limits, paid and unpaid breaks, job codes, and tip declaration. There's nothing extra to configure.

No. The kiosk needs a Wi-Fi or data connection to record punches and doesn't save clock-ins offline, so keep the tablet connected and plugged in.

No. Because the tablet stays at your location, the kiosk doesn't capture GPS or photos, and geofencing doesn't apply to kiosk clock-ins. Employees who work in the field can keep using the mobile app.

Lock the tablet to the Teamsly Time Clock app using Guided Access on iPad or App Pinning on Android. The kiosk also returns to the PIN screen after 60 seconds of inactivity, helping protect employee information between uses.
