  • Geolocation Information: Obtained from your browser or mobile device (with your permission) to support location-based features such as live location during active shifts.

  • Support Communication: Data and information you provide when interacting with our support team, such as chat transcripts, emails, or phone calls.

2.1 Location Data

Teamsly may collect location data from your mobile device when location permissions are enabled. Location data is used to support workplace features such as live location visibility during active shifts and location-based time clock tools.

  • When location is collected: We collect location data only when an employee is actively clocked in to a shift and Live Location is enabled by the workplace. Location tracking is intended to stop automatically when the employee clocks out.
  • Background location: If an employee grants “Always” or background location permission, Teamsly may continue collecting location while the app is closed or running in the background during an active shift so that live location remains available on the manager map.
  • What is collected: Depending on device settings, we may collect precise GPS coordinates (latitude/longitude), timestamp, and accuracy information.
  • Who can see it: Live location data may be visible to authorized workplace administrators and managers within the Teamsly web and mobile applications for operational purposes (for example, to view an employee’s location while they are clocked in).
  • User control: Employees can control location access at any time through their device settings. Location sharing can also be stopped by clocking out when a shift ends.

3. Data Usage

We use the data we collect for the following purposes:

  • Service Provision: To provide, operate, and maintain our SaaS services, ensuring functionality and reliability.
  • Communication: To send notifications, updates, and respond to your inquiries.
  • Customer Support: To address any issues, troubleshoot problems, and offer personalized assistance.
  • Enhancing User Experience: To improve and personalize your experience by analyzing interactions and user preferences.
  • Marketing and Promotions: To send you marketing communications and promotional offers if you have opted in to receive them.
